To regulate the handling of complaints and reports concerning accounting firms and certified public accountants, the Ministry of Finance has proposed draft measures titled "Regulations on Handling Complaints and Reports Regarding Accounting Firms and Certified Public Accountants," which are currently open for public comment. The Ministry convened an expert symposium at Beijing's Guoyi Hotel, on March 14, 2025. The meeting brought together the Ministry of Finance's Supervision and Evaluation Bureau, Department of Legal Affairs, Department of Accounting, Accounting and Financial Evaluation Center, the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and leading experts from local financial departments (including municipalities and provinces such as Beijing, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong, Guangdong, etc). Attendees also included Beijing court judges, legal scholars from China University of Political Science and Law, and industry professionals from organizations like Hwuason and ShineWing, they engaged in a lively discussion around the topics. Lawyers Liu Tianyong and Yang Shengming from Beijing Hwuason Law Firm delivered presentations during the symposium.

Registration opens today for the “2025 National Top Ten Outstanding Tax Law Case Papers” competition
